Vase of Roses

A vibrant monotype print made in 3 stages. First I painted glass with acrylic and took a monoprint at home during lockdown.
Then when I could get to the studio, I inked up tetrapak 'petals' with flourescent orange and put it through the press. When they were dry I added some white by inking glass and scribbling on the reverse. Then I hand touchd with a flouresent pencil - I love it, when several techniques layer up and the original spontanaeity remains.

The paper I printed on is a deep ochre golden yellow.
I always note that the flouresent orange ink or pencil I use photographs a little redder than it is, it is more the orange of a traffic cone than a camera can capture .

This unframed , signed 1 of 1 monotype print is 40 x 58.5 cm.
A black, gold or wooden frame would suit it and I can bespoke frame this at cost on request.
