Veil

Framed Dimensions 75 x 55cm
A unique Monotype print combining two processes; tetrapak intaglio print and inked net monoprint. The net was made first and suggested the veil sha55cmpe, so I created the face to fit exactly the shape in the centre. Her features are inspired by the Greek and Roman statues on Museum Island in Berlin.
A bride with no illusions, her green hue a hint at archetypal May Queens and Beltane Goddesses.
