Margarita Sunset

Strictly speaking this is a 1 of 1 multilayered print, but I have listed as a painting on paper as the process is so painterly.
To create this piece I painted on glass and took a print by hand from it. When this was dry I inked torn cardboard and tetrapak discs to overlay the brush marks with abstract shapes. I like to combine sharp lines with the soft organic shapes the hand monoprint has created.
The colours are positive, vibrant and soft. Reminiscent of tropical holidays and sunsets. I hope it brings you as much joy as a spicy margarita and a sunset.
I like this piece hung portrait, but my son liked it as a landscape!
